The candidate must demonstrate the following:

Essential Functions:
Provides on site level 3 administration of the Oracle/Sun environment, including proactive and reactive technical support, understands and complies with operational guidelines as defined by the customer and maintains operational records of all activities. Has a disciplined approach to service support, providing clear and comprehensive documentation in the day to day execution of change and system maintenance. Installation and configuration of the Solaris operating system, using standard techniques. Installation of Solaris dependent programs and packages.
Good working knowledge of - ZFS storage pool management and ZFS cache devices - Containers Resource pool Manager - Zones and Virtualization - Zones parallel patching
Good working knowledge of storage architecture, backup and recovery principles, cluster concepts, and storage products.
Display knowledge of SAN and Storage Networking Configuration of tcp/ip networks, including the installation and configuration of NIS, NIS+, DNS and NFS, and understands the basics of backup and recovery for the Solaris operating system using system tools. Solaris 10 performance and tuning Good working knowledge of : IPMP, SNTP, NFS, NTP, Samba, SSH. Administer FC switches zoning, SAN Knowledge of iSCSI, SMB/CIF, NFS, MPxIO, HBA cards configuration Shell/Pearl scripting experience LUNs Configuration and Presentation, volumes, logical drives, etc.. Knowledge of Raid levels Configure Sun Modular Storage Arrays Install and configure Veritas Volume Manager Install and configure Solstice Disksuite/Solaris Volume Manager. Working knowledge of Basic Audit Report Tool (BART) and Sun Explorer output analysis day-to-day maintenance and troubleshooting, patching and firmware updates, automating processes using shell scripting, and performing customer specific application software installations. Works to ensure performance of the Oracle/Sun environment is maintained in line with contract commitments and contributes to customer meetings and Oracle team meetings as appropriate. Required Skills and knowledge
Has a minimum of 7 years commercial UNIX administration Has a minimum of 5 years commercial Storage administration Has a minimum of 5 year UNIX/Storage trouble shooting and support experience Sun Solaris 10 certified Sun cluster or Veritas Cluster certified Experience of Sun Cluster technologies Experience of Veritas/Solaris Volume Manager Experienced 3/4th Line System/Storage Support. Experience of Jumpstart mechanisms. Worked with Sun hardware platforms M3000, M4000 Worked with Sun Storage products Sun storage 7400 series and Sun tape library SL500 Experience of Change Control practices.
